Value Guard, a broad-coverage vehicle service contract endorsed by General Motors, frees you from the worry of unexpected and costly bills for covered repairs. This vehicle service contract covers parts and labor expenses for nine major vehicle assemblies in the event of mechanical failure beyond the warranty period - even if it results from wear and tear*.
With Value Guard, there are no unexpected financial surprises for covered parts and labor expenses. If repairs are necessary, they can be taken care of conveniently through any of the more than 7,000 GM dealerships across the United States and Canada.

Value Guard covers specific components within nine major assemblies of your vehicle are covered against mechanical failure even if it results from wear and tear*. You are covered for the costs of parts and labor on:
- Engine
- Front / Rear-wheel-drive assemblies
- Fuel system
- Steering system
- Transmission / Transaxle

- Electrical system
- Suspension (Front)
- Manufacturer-installed air conditioning system
- Braking system components

If a covered system fails, Value Guard will provide authorization or reimbursement for towing.
(some limits apply)**.
If your vehicle is repaired under Value Guard, you're covered for alternate transportation. Value Guard will pay the cost to rent a replacement vehicle or for public transportation (some limits apply) whenever:
- Two or more manufacturer's labor time guide hours are required for the repair, or
- Your vehicle is not drivable and must be kept overnight**
Choose the Value Guard term best for your situation. Coverage is offered based on years of anticipated ownership and annual mileage driven. Deductible choices are available from $0 to $200, meaning you can minimize unanticipated out-of-pocket expenses for covered repairs.
Value Guard can be purchased at any time during the new vehicle limited warranty period, but the earlier you buy, the better the value. If a vehicle is out-of-warranty when it is purchased, Value Guard can only be obtained at the time of vehicle purchase. You can even make Value Guard part of your monthly payment.
Repair paperwork is gone too, because everything is taken care of by your GM Dealer.
You may also enhance your vehicle's value, because if you sell your vehicle, Value Guard can be transferred to the new owner for a small administrative fee.
